In today’s world, culture is being bought, sold, marketed and consumed. Culture is a commodity. With more consumption than understanding and knowledge, this imperialistic style of destroying cultures is one of teh core aspects in fueling global injustice. This includes everything from violating human rights and the Geneva Convention, to ignoring international law and the United Nations, and stripping people of their own identity.
Once we are able to defend and protect our own cultures, we will be able to fight modern capitalism and imperialism, and from there fight off global injustice.
